Palmer Design and Manufacturing is one of the leading NZ providers of FDM printed parts, often printing materials that are not available through others. Below is a list of our common materials,  if you have an applications for a different material or colour please just let us know as we have many more materials and get new materials in almost every week, so it is hard to keep this page up-to-date!

ABS General purpose plastic for use up to 80°C We often use ABS to make large parts. (Click here for more specific properties(We also have carbon nano-tube filled grades for high stiffness applications) White, Black, Blue, Red, Yellow, Grey, Charcoal, Green, Coffee…..  big 3D printed part in ABS
Anti-static ABS or PET Ideal for making jigs & fixtures for electronic assembly lines, this is a semi-conductive plastic for use up to 70°C Black  3D printed conformal coating jigs ESD safe
Polycarbonate (PC) Very high impact strength, for use up to 110°C

Transparent, Black, Translucent Blue, Green, White, Aqua new blue & black PC
PET (Also known as PETG or PETT) food grade plastics commonly used in industry for drink containers. (We also have carbon nano-tube filled grades for high stiffness applications)

 semi-clear, red, blue, green and black.  PETG
PLA Bio-degradable, made from cornstarch.  This material is useful for the “lost wax” type casting process. Transparent, Gray, Blue /grey.  Many more colours available on request.  PLA
Rubber like Very tough, and remarkably heat resistant for a printed rubber material. Available in different shore hardness values: 40D & 45D White , Black, Red and many others on request.  3D printed rubber parts
Nylon (PA) Tough, good for moving joints / bushings White, semi-clear  Nylon bearing
Acetal (POM) high stiffness, tough and temperature resistant up to 120°C. Good for moving joints / bushings and springs.  Has low coefficient of friction, high resistance to solvents. (Click here for general info on Acetal) White  3D printed acetal

Titanium Printed Titanium we offer is at least as strong as machined Ti or in many cases stronger. (in tensile strength)
